Every spring, the Uptevia teams prepare for the annual general meeting season. 2024 will be no exception. Almost 95% of general meetings are held between April and June, requiring the involvement of more than 30 people, half of whom are recruited for the season.
In 2023, Uptevia managed 850 assemblies for its clients in iconic Parisian venues such as the Théâtre Mogador, L’Olympia, the Carrousel du Louvre and the Palais des Congrès. This year, the experts will be supporting 900 clients in this exercise, from the preparatory work for the vote prior to the general meeting to the reception and collection of shareholders’ votes on the day, as well as the confirmation of votes after the general meeting at the request of the shareholder.

Pierre CARLIN, Co-Head of Centralised Operations, shares his thoughts on the 2023 season:
“Uptevia’s 1st season was a success, marked by the context of the company’s creation. We rose to the challenge and were able to support our issuer clients, whose shareholder meetings are increasingly subject to pressure from activists. The European harmonisation initiated by the SRD2 directive continues to modify operational processes and encourages the emergence of new players whose knowledge of the market is still relative. The role of the centraliser is therefore key to ensuring the quality of the service and the collection of votes.
The landscape for general meetings has changed in 2024 because of public holidays and the Olympic Games. The pressure on teams and issuers will be high, with busy days (more than 15 simultaneous meetings on some days)”.
