Uptevia, a specialist in issuer services, breaks new ground with the success of OVHcloud’s hybrid General Meeting
Renowned for its expertise in general meetings, Uptevia, in partnership with its service providers LUMI Global and SLIB, the publisher of Votaccess, enabled OVHcloud shareholders to vote remotely and in person live at the company’s annual general meeting.
Courbevoie, 19 February 2025 – Uptevia, a specialist in issuer services, has organised the first hybrid general meeting with a link to the Votaccess voting platform, a further step forward after centralising the hybrid meetings of Amundi in 2021 and Wavestone over the last 3 years.
For the Combined General Meeting of OVHcloud, the European leader in the cloud, held on 6 February 2025, Uptevia, together with its service provider Lumi Global and SLIB, proposed an innovative voting system fully integrated with the French market’s remote voting solution.
OVHcloud opted for the hybrid format because of the wide geographical spread of its shareholders and its desire to hold its Annual General Meeting in Roubaix, the company’s historic headquarters. This format thus offers a simple and effective solution, promoting the democratisation of shareholder voting rights, a principle dear to the Autorité des Marchés Financiers, and contributing to an increase in participation compared with traditional meetings.
OVHcloud’s hybrid AGM represents a major step forward in the French market, and is fully in line with the drive to modernise AGMs.
“We are proud of the trust placed in us by OVHCloud in the organisation of this AGM. Our experience and agility in organising this type of hybrid event contributed to its success and paves the way for many other meetings in hybrid mode,” says Lionel Barthélémy, Managing Director of Uptevia.
“The hybrid format enabled us to significantly improve the accessibility of our general meeting by making it possible and easy to vote remotely and live. We are delighted to have been the first to implement this format, which illustrates our commitment to making innovation available to everyone. It is also a confirmation of the long-term trends in the digitisation of our economies,” said Solange Viegas Dos Reis, Legal Director of OVHcloud.
“At Lumi Global, we use technology to make general meetings more accessible and interactive. This first hybrid AGM with OVHcloud illustrates the impact of digitalisation on shareholder participation. We are delighted to have worked with Uptevia and SLIB to make this happen,” said Richard Taylor, CEO of Lumi Global.
“We are very pleased to have contributed to this innovative way of holding general meetings via a new gateway between the Votaccess platform, Uptevia and Lumi Global, which paves the way for a new voting experience,” testifies Philippe Ruault, CEO of SLIB
